Someone asked me to make a vanilla scented candle to rival all vanilla scented candles and, last year, I tried it. I didn’t pull it off. It was very vanilla but it wasn’t strong; it was just OK. This time around, I searched high and low for higher quality vanilla oils, and added 3 more to the recipe. The first time I burned it, I had to stop and go take a nap. It filled THE ENTIRE HOUSE and, it was so warm and comfy and soothing and calming and strong, I just wanted to wrap myself in something warm and drift off to la la land.
Just so you know, this ain’t your mama’s vanilla candle from Marshall’s or TJ Maxx. I took my time curating and blending the 5 different vanilla oils in this recipe, and it took me about 3 weeks to get it perfectly right. This is the one you take with you on vacation when you REALLY need some deep sleep. On Friday nights when you know you’re about to sleep-in the next morning and get that zombie rest.
